Do Something Big

This last year I did something big.

I started out thinking I was going to launch a business. Then a business became a movement. We named it Badass Business Women.

Our website was launched 8 days after the idea was born.

I’ll be honest. I didn’t know what was going to happen... where this thing was going to go or how it was going to grow. Part of being a badass is being willing to take action before you have all the answers.

The first thing I learned when you have a big idea is to start moving as soon as you have momentum, then refine your ideas, refine your brand, expand what you offer, and reach out. That’s the key. You’ve got to constantly reach out to people to see what connections form.

The second thing I learned is that there are no guarantees. That’s a stumbling block for a lot of people. No guarantees means that failure is possible. Sometimes it’s even likely.

But being a badass means tackling big ideas and going after big dreams even if it’s scary, because that’s when the good stuff happens. Sure, you might fall on your face. Someone might even laugh at you. But when you’re a badass, you live like you were meant to, like failures are just stepping-stones to success, and there’s nothing like it.

So I did something big last year. I launched a movement.

The response has been tremendous. Women love this. This concept is magnetic - it sparks something when spoken out loud. Some women are offended at being called a badass. To us, it’s the highest compliment anyone could give us.

It means that we are a powerhouse. Proud. Sexy. Strong. Daring.

And this year, I’m going to do something even bigger, starting with a challenge to you…
